Sora Dora
Sora Dora is a French niche house from the hills above Aix-en-Provence, named for Antoine Soradora, the Portuguese gardener who left Loulé for Grasse in 1920 and learned perfumery on a jasmine farm. Four generations later his great-grandson Quentin Dorado composes with Studio Flair in Paris, every scent an extrait de parfum built to unfold in three distinct phases. Mandorle for the almond leather signature, Jany for the tarte tatin gourmand the whole of Fragrantica reviewed, Raphael for the iris musk that rates highest in the house. Bottles bought direct from the house in France and shipped from the Khrisha floor in Melbourne.
