FAQs

Everything you want to know — answered by the team behind your favourite niche perfumes.

Q: Do you offer fragrance samples before buying a full bottle?
Yes — and we highly recommend it. At Khrisha Perfumery, we offer curated 2ml decants and discovery sets so you can try niche fragrances before committing to a full bottle. Browse our Sample Sets to explore our bestsellers, seasonal favourites, or create your own bundle.

Q: How do I choose a perfume if I can’t smell it in person?
We get it — buying fragrance online can be daunting. That’s why each product page includes detailed scent profiles, performance notes, and even video reviews. Plus, our team is just a DM away for personalised recommendations. Try our Fragrance Finder Quiz to narrow down options based on your preferences.

Q: How long does shipping take within Australia?
Standard shipping takes 3–7 business days, while Express shipping usually arrives in 1–3 business days. Orders are processed within 48 hours. For full details, visit our Shipping Info page.

Q: What is a niche fragrance and how is it different from designer perfume?
Niche perfumes are crafted in small batches using high-quality, often rare ingredients. Unlike mass-produced designer scents, niche houses focus on storytelling, uniqueness, and olfactory artistry. At Khrisha, we stock only authentic niche brands that aren’t widely available in department stores.

Q: Where is Khrisha Perfumery based?
We are proudly based in Melbourne, Australia. You can find us in-store at The Lounge Beauty Co. in Northland Shopping Centre — or shop online for delivery Australia-wide.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we only ship within Australia. However, international shipping is something we’re working on — feel free to email us at info@khrishaperfumery.com.au if you'd like to place an order outside of Australia.

Q: I have sensitive skin. Can I wear niche perfumes?
Many niche perfumes use higher concentrations of natural oils and fewer synthetic fillers, which some people with sensitivities prefer. However, we always recommend doing a patch test first, especially if you’re trying a new house or extrait-strength perfume.

Q: What’s the difference between extrait, eau de parfum and eau de toilette?

  • Extrait de Parfum: Highest concentration (20–40%), longest lasting (8–12+ hrs)

  • Eau de Parfum (EDP): Medium-high strength (15–20%), lasts 6–8 hrs

  • Eau de Toilette (EDT): Lighter strength (5–15%), lasts 3–5 hrs

Most of our curated fragrances are either EDP or extrait grade, designed for lasting impact.

Q: Can I return a perfume if I don’t like the scent?
We’re all about transparency here — and unfortunately, we can’t accept returns on opened or used fragrances for change of mind. This is why we strongly suggest sampling first. If your item arrives damaged, though, we’ll absolutely make it right.

Q: How long will a 50ml or 100ml perfume bottle last me?
It depends on usage, but typically:

  • A 50ml bottle lasts ~6–8 months with daily use

  • A 100ml bottle can last 12+ months
If you're a collector or rotate fragrances seasonally, bottles may last much longer.

Q: Do you sell gift cards or offer gifting services?
Yes — digital gift cards are available here, perfect for fragrance lovers who prefer to choose their own scent. We also offer beautifully wrapped gift orders upon request.

Q: How do I store my perfume to make it last longer?
Keep your fragrance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Don’t store bottles in the bathroom — humidity can degrade the scent. Treat it like fine wine: dark, dry, and temperature-stable.

Q: Are your products authentic?
Every fragrance we stock is 100% authentic, sourced directly from authorised distributors or the brands themselves. We do not — and will never — sell grey market, imitation, or decanted designer products under false pretences.
