Oman Luxury is a perfume house founded in Muscat in 2012 and run by Muatasim Al Hinai as Managing Director and Muadh Al Sinawi as Commercial and Marketing Director. It sits in more than 550 points of sale across 25-plus countries, which makes it one of the largest independent houses to come out of the Gulf, and it has stayed independent the entire way.
The house exists because Oman has something almost nowhere else does. Dhofar, in the country's south, still grows wild Boswellia sacra, the frankincense trees that supplied Egypt, Sumer and Rome for thousands of years. The region is protected by UNESCO as the Land of Frankincense. Oman Luxury's whole proposition is taking that raw material and composing with it at the standard of French fine perfumery rather than selling it as a souvenir.

1. Royal Incense

3. Khanjar
Named for the silver dagger Omani men wear on formal days, and it carries the same weight. Saffron, bergamot and lavender open cool, rose, cedar and orris build a classical heart, then natural oud, leather and ambergris arrive and refuse to leave. Ten hours through a Melbourne winter.
