Aican takes its name from a beautiful Arabic term representing gold purified of all imperfections. Created by Gokhan Simsek and launched at Esxence 2024, Aican is a fruity gourmand that balances tropical sweetness with refined elegance.
The opening is vibrant and inviting. Mandarin, passion fruit, and pineapple create a tropical burst that feels joyful and energetic. There is a juiciness to the opening that immediately puts a smile on your face, evoking sun-soaked destinations and carefree moments.
The heart introduces an unexpected twist. Black pepper, jasmine, and ginger add a warm, spiced complexity that elevates Aican beyond simple fruity territory. The ginger provides a clean, sharp edge that prevents the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional, while jasmine adds a floral elegance that ties the fruity top and spiced middle together seamlessly.
The base is warm and indulgent. Vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, pralines, amber, and musk create a gourmand foundation that is rich without being heavy. The praline note is subtle but important, adding a toasted, nutty sweetness that complements the tropical fruits beautifully.
